2024 Foothill Wine Festival Competition

Fun, fresh and floral, this Italian favorite, with its lip-smacking, savory and satisfying bouquet, offers restrained pomegranate, cherry and chocolate flavors with a light schmear of vanilla on the palate. An added measure of our Brunello-clone takes this 2021 Sangiovese to a heightened level. Medium bodied, full mouthed and with light tannins, you’ll be excited to share the pleasure of this experience with your friends and family. Molto bello!

Barbera Riserva 2021

$47

November Wine Club 2024
Silver — 2024 Foothill Wine Festival Competition

With its perfect marriage of floral and fruity aromas, our 2021 Barbera Riserva wraps itself around you like a big hug. Caramel, apple, leather and cloves on the nose deliver pure joy and pleasure in each and every sip. A subtle spice and heat (could it be red pepper?) merge with a suggestion of raspberry to bring you a finish that is super smooth, dark and rich. A labor of love, this Riserva is barrel select and aged 34 months in 100% New American Oak. Awesome with Drunken Steak with Shitake Mushrooms.

Mourvèdre 2021

$32

November Wine Club 2024
Silver – 2024 Foothill Wine Festival Competition
Known by many names, Mourvedre is thought to have originated in Spain but is best known as a Rhone varietal. Historically used as a blending grape, Mourvèdre arrived in California in the 1860’s. Our 2021 single varietal Mourvèdre is not for the faint of heart with unique and captivating aromas of toffee and leather, and whispers of sandalwood – earthy, woody, sweet, spicy. This complex wine presents with warm and rich flavors of espresso, oaked vanilla and smokiness. Think stews, braises and other rich and hearty dishes as perfect food pairings.

Cooper Ranch Red

$32

Silver — 2024 SF Chronicle Wine Competition
Silver – 2024 El Dorado County Wine Competition
Silver – 2024 Amador County Fair
Silver – 2024 Orange County Fair Wine Competition
This innovative blend of Alicante Bouschet (38%), Carignane (25%), Charbono (25%) and Barbera (12%), all 2021 vintages, is rustic yet exotic. Scents of cherry cola, clove, cinnamon, leather, pepper and sandalwood precede flavors of warm spice, black fruits and the umami characteristics of smoked meat. Soft tannins, balanced acidity and a juicy finish will have you exclaiming … a triumph, Mike Roser, another triumph.

Anniversary 2018

$77 $55

February Wine Club

We had so much fun drinking this wine to create these tasting notes that we couldn’t remember what it tasted like! Just kidding!!! This wine is beautiful. Our latest GSM blend (20% Grenache; 40% Syrah; 40% Mourvèdre) is here after 62 months in new French Oak. Highlights include a rich, heavy and velvety nose rife with toasted sugar, and licorice and leather accents. On the palate, think See’s Candies Chocolate Bordeaux — a delicious blend of brown sugar, heavy cream, butter and coffee. Toss in some red berry nuances (cherry and tart cranberry) and you’re got it! Powerful and elegant.

Barbera 2022

$36

Silver – 2024 Orange County Fair Wine Competition
Silver – 2024 Amador County Fair

True to its Piedmont ancestry, our 2022 Barbera is alive with aromas of vibrant cherry and subtle tobacco with suggestions of dried herbs. The full mouth feel opens the palate to a plethora of complex flavors … cola, plum, coffee (Italian roast, of course), and an understated spiciness. Bright and sassy, this juicy Barbera works well alongside grilled meats, dishes that feature mushrooms, or the classic pizza pairing. Give it a try with pulled pork!

Dicembre 2019

$38

Gold – 2023 Foothill Wine Festival Competition

Think Black Forest Cake! Rick, deep chocolate is the perfect backdrop for luxurious cherry. This late harvest Barbera desert wine is medium-bodied with a nice dry finish, and a symphony of flavors working in perfect harmony.

Syrah 2021

$32

August Wine Club 2024

With its roots steeped in myth and legend, today’s Syrah (called “Shiraz” in Australia) is thought to have evolved in the Northern Rhone region of France. Our 2021 estate Syrah is powerfully flavored and full-bodied, containing aroma characteristics ranging from subtle fruit to chocolate to the fragrance of sweet alfalfa. Once on the palate, flavors of black fruit and coffee, supplemented with notes of leather and truffle, invite you to sit awhile and savor this alluring wine.
