Celebrate life by taking a sensory journey through the Rhone Valley with our Grenache-Syrah-Mourvédre blend (1/3 each). The best barrels of each of these wines were selected, then aged for 58 months in 100% New French Oak. The nose offers floral and fruity scents reminiscent of hibiscus and currants. Lush flavors of cherry and licorice are complemented by a graceful mouthfeel and a spicy/juicy finish. This elegant wine is gorgeously balanced with a nice tannin structure. Charbono 2019

An ancient survivor of the embattled Savoy region, Charbono presents with a rich and royal-inky visage. A myriad of aromas entices…licorice, plum, black fruits, taffy… and reveals softly savory and fleetingly sweet flavors. A chewy center surrenders to a dry finish and an allusion of raspberry. Softly scented with wildflowers and muted caramel the lovely rosewood color ushers in flavors of pomegranate and Rainier cherry. This medium-bodied 2019 Zinfandel has a bit of pepper and a hint of sweetness on the pleasantly dry finish. This is a very classic style — fruity and lush, pairing best with rich and robust foods like grilled meats. But a really fun local gastronomic adventure might be Cooper’s 2019 Zinfandel with Pepperoni Pizza from Gold Dust Pizza in Sutter Creek. Yum!
